About the Wolowik Ranch

A needed extension of our house is a glorious huge deck.  Midwestern summers have been extended the past few years and this is where you can find us.

Here is one thing you need to know about us…the word ‘ranch’ is a bit of a misnomer.  We live in the glorious midwestern city of Madison, WI on a typical ‘city’ block of land.  Our home is 744 square feet.  Yup…you read that right…744.  Yes we have 2 kids that share a bedroom…yes we only have one bathroom…yes our kitchen is about 6X8…yes we run into each other…A LOT.  However we have boatloads of gratitude which turns what we have into just enough.

Here is the crazy cast of characters:

The hubbmeister, chef and true meal provider for the family.

 

The mama-Can generally be found with knitting needles in hand and exclaiming she needs time for ‘just one more row!’

The girl-A middle schooler very much in love with bows and ballet. She plays a mean sax and is over her heels in love with her little cousins.

The boy-An awesome fisherman and helper at the ranch. He is smiley and happy and extremely knowledgeable in the subject of Pokemon.

Dinner time is sacred in our house.  The hubby and I were both brought up sharing a family meal and we have continued that tradition with our children as well.  Everyone seated around the table, good tunes are a must and great conversation sharing about our day.
